Government College, Sihma was
established in June 2018 with the vision of providing quality higher education
in the region.The enthusiasm and educational awareness of the local population
have played a vital role in the establishment and steady development of this
promising centre of higher learning.Initially founded as a girls’ college, it
was subsequently converted into a co-educational institution by the Government
of Haryana in response to growing public demand.Geographally, the village of Sihma
lies at the center of a triangular junction formed by the towns of Narnaul,
Ateli, and Mahendragarh. Recognized as one of the largest villages in
Mahendragarh district, Sihma was declared a Block in 2013 and currently serves
as the administrative headquarters for 14 Gram Panchayat wards. The village is
also known as the birthplace of the revered local saint, Baba Khetanath.The
college campus is spread across 9.5 acres and is situated on the Narnaul–Kanina
Road, adjacent to the BDPO office in Sihma. Its accessible location and growing
infrastructure make it a hub of academic activity in the region.The
institution's motto, “Live to Learn and to Serve,” reflects its
commitment to holistic education and community service.
